The Kennesaw Concert Series offers free concerts in the heart of Downtown Kennesaw. Guests are encouraged to bring collapsible lawn chairs or camping chairs and enjoy food and beverages available for purchase from a variety of vendors.

KENNESAW, Ga. – Single-game tickets for Kennesaw State baseball's 32-game home schedule in 2026 are now on sale.
Fans can purchase tickets online at KSUOwls.com/Tickets or by contacting KSU's ticket office. Tickets will also be available for purchase at the Mickey Dunn Stadium at Henssler Financial Field box office, beginning 60 minutes prior to each home game, while supplies last. Single-game ticket prices start at $12.
In addition to single-game tickets, fans can purchase a five-game ticket package in the Teasley Hospitality Suite, which sits in left-center field. For $145, fans will gain access to the Teasley Suite for games on March 1, March 22, April 2, April 28, and May 1. Each ticket includes food, Coca-Cola products, and an adult drink ticket.
Pre-sale tickets for the Owls' home tilt with Georgia on March 3, as well as the Teasley Plan, will be available exclusively to Owls Fund members by clicking HERE. The pre-sale will close on Tuesday, Feb. 10 at 10 a.m., after which the remaining tickets will be made available to the general public.
Kennesaw State opens the 2026 season at home with four games over Opening Weekend at Mickey Dunn Stadium at Henssler Financial Field. The Owls host Evansville at 4 p.m. on Feb. 13, followed by Marshall on Feb. 14 at 4 p.m., before closing the weekend with a Sunday doubleheader on Feb. 15 against Marshall and Evansville, beginning at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., respectively. Traditional season-opening festivities will take place throughout the weekend, highlighted by the ceremonial opening of the ballpark on Feb. 14 during Mickey Dunn Day, honoring Mickey Dunn and his family.
The Black and Gold will welcome three Power Four teams to the Saw in 2026, beginning with a three-game series against West Virginia from Feb. 27-March 1. After Georgia's trip to Kennesaw in early March, Georgia Tech will make the trip up I-75 on Tuesday, April 28.
Kennesaw State's home conference slate pits the Owls with Liberty (March 20-22), Dallas Baptist (April 2-4), Louisiana Tech (April 17-19), Sam Houston (May 1-3) and Missouri State (May 14-16). Tickets for the Conference USA Baseball Championship, hosted by KSU, will be available at a later date.

The Oak Ridge, Tenn., native started 53 games for the Owls, including 25 conference contests, slashing .310/.388/.470 with 21 RBI and 11 walks in CUSA play while committing just one error.
Gibbs was tabbed as the league's Freshman of the Year as he joins the Owls after a highly successful prep career. A graduate of Forsyth Central High School, Gibbs was ranked as the No. 25 overall player in the Class of 2025 and the third-best player in the state of Georgia, according to Perfect Game. The athletic infielder participated in the 2025 MLB Draft Combine, competed in the Perfect Game All-American Classic in 2024 and was named the Best High School Player in Georgia by MaxPreps after posting a .462/.562/.791 slash line during his senior campaign.

Kennesaw State has been dominate in its home arena, with an 8-1 mark this season while the Owls have lost just nine total games over the past four years at VyStar Arena. ♦ The Owls are coming off a three-game road swing in which it claimed a 15-point road win at Western Kentucky on Jan. 17, before dropping a pair of close six-point losses at Sam Houston (Jan. 21) and Louisiana Tech (Jan. 23). ♦ WKU meanwhile has dropped three straight and has won just twice on the road this season (2-4). KENNESAW, Ga. — A recent Kennesaw State University graduate is going viral after his mother posted an emotional graduation ceremony video to social media.
As hundreds gathered in their caps and gowns, Sean Hanford stood out.
“It wasn’t really about the cap and gown, it was about the seasons of uncertainty that led up to that moment,” he said.
It was a moment that highlights the peaks and many valleys came full circle with a flood of emotions.
“He was crying, and I said you know what this is, Black boy joy,” said Lori Hanford.
Sean’s biggest cheerleader is his mother, Lori Hanford, a celebrity media correspondent also known for her role on Netflix’s hit show “The Later Daters.” Hanford said she posted the video to her social media pages for the world to see.
“I wanted the world to see that Black boys, they can do it, they can persevere. I didn’t think it would be a viral moment, but I wanted to capture a Black boy crying and being emotional because I think we teach our sons not to cry, that makes you weak,” she said.

The video has over four million views, but the story behind it began when Hanford’s mother formed a village of mentors for her son at a young age.
“I put him in the Steve Harvey mentoring program for boys. Every time he wanted to give up in college, it might be a text from Mr. Harvey or Pastor Jamal Bryant of New Birth and Pastor Kerri, you know, they made him an intern,” she said.
Sean’s freshman year of college was paid free of charge, thanks to the Steve and Marjorie Harvey Foundation scholarship. He was also awarded a scholarship from New Birth Missionary Baptist Church and received other scholarships.
The graduate worked a full-time job, mentored young boys, became a realtor, and a business owner, all while he studied at Kennesaw State University and endured rising costs.
His mother said there were times when they couldn’t afford the meal plan, but she credits God for surrounding her family with countless community leaders, attorneys and organizations for relieving some of the financial burden.
“Really, thanks to my mom, she connected me with great people, great mentors,” Sean Hanford said.
The graduate says he wants to own a real estate brokerage company in the near future. He said he is thankful to all of his mentors and those who helped him graduate from college with minimal debt.
Sean Handford said he wrote down his goals and prayed over them daily as he held on to bible scriptures to help his dreams become reality.
