Last night, June 25, Dave Matthews Band pulled into Alpharetta, Ga. for the latest performance in their expansive summer tour. Onstage at the Ameris Bank Amphitheatre, the celebrated jam and roots rock ensemble continued the thrills and surprises of their series so far–including a sit-in from Jason Crosby in Holmdel, N.J. and debut covers of “God Only Knows” and “Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin)” in Wantagh, N.Y.–with another special guest spot from Kebbi Williams.
DMB set off their performance on Wednesday with “Recently,” building steam into fun-forward improvisation that included a Ghostbusters theme tease on the following “Grey Street.” After “Stay or Leave,” the band was forced to take an early intermission as a storm passed overhead, stepping away for 53 minutes before returning with a 17-track second set. “Fool in the Rain” fittingly brought the band back to the spotlight, which primed them for an exhilarating highlight of “Jimi Thing” with Williams.
The Tedeschi Trucks Band mainstay brought a powerful saxophone solo to the 1994 Under the Table and Dreaming essential, charging the group up for the long haul of classics like “Walk Around the Moon,” “Stolen Away on 55th & 3rd,” “Dive In” and “Ants Marching” that followed. TO cap off the performance, the band turned to its reliaable show closer of “All Along the Watchtower,” amplified with a partial transition to “Stairway to Heaven” at the midpoint for the first time since 2016. Following the action-packed finale, the band returned to the stage for an encore of “Rye Whiskey” and “Crash into Me.”

JOHNS CREEK, Ga. — A report by U.S. News & World Report ranked the best places to live in the U.S. in 2025-2026.
According to the report, the cities were ranked based on jobs, desirability, cost of living, and quality of life, among other qualifications. More than 850 U.S. cities were evaluated to develop the top 250 best places to live.
In Georgia, two cities made the list- including Johns Creek, which ranked #1, and Alpharetta, which came in at #24.
“We are blessed with a great community and it’s always nice when others recognize that,” Johns Creek Mayor John Bradberry said. "The Council and I will continue to focus on delivering value and a strong quality of life for our residents.“
According to the report, Johns Creek is ranked the best place to live in the U.S. this year. The city has a population of 78,937, a median home value of $528,234 and a median household income of $163,653. Johns Creek is located near the Chattahoochee River and has been recognized for its public schools and parks. The city has also been named the safest place to live in the country, the report added.
Additionally, the report says Alpharetta has a population of 64,366, with a median home value of $568,626 and a median household income of $149,264. The city is also home to highly rated public schools, the entertainment venue Ameris Bank Amphitheatre, and it was also ranked No. 16 in the nation for college readiness, according to U.S. News & World Report.
